Southeast Alaska's shorelines are composed of mostly granite and slate formations, creating the elusive sculptures for our "Stone Totems"

Photos may be viewed in 3 different positions. Horizontally - the way they were photographed,  

or Vertically - they can be viewed "right" side up or rotated 180 degrees for a whole new set of faces and/or images.

It is only my own theory but I believe these reflections may have been the inspiration for the original pole carvings created by the natives of the Northwest Coast of America that we refer to as "totem" poles.

8x10's (size of image may vary slightly) printed on 8 1/2" x 11" Epson Premium Semigloss Photo Paper using an archival Ultra-chrome seven color ink system and set on white foam core.  Large Format 13 X 19's are printed on Epson Premium Luster. Prints are protected inside a crystal clear acid free plastic sleeve. Photographs are not digitally manipulated. We do not move rocks and/or branches around to create the shapes (more than one has asked if we did). These are actual, natural shoreline formations here in Southeast Alaska.
